Trusting Allah
Salam Alaikum beloved can you please pass over the cup for me ?
Salam Alaikum beloved how are you and how is your heart ? I hope it’s at ease and afloat
it’s morning here and I am shouting all over the place, for reasons I myself don’t know, the past days have been quiet hard Emotionally and mentally and today I just read an email from someone so dear to me telling me “I Quit” and here I am typing and crying, hoping this isn’t it.
I know this might not seem like it but beloved trust in God, know that Allah loves you, he hasn’t forsaken you, he is near and he sees you, he knows your pain and your sorrows, your deepest wounds and your wildest wishes and he would grant it when the time Is right, there’s a reason behind everything we go through
Allah also says: “And put your trust in Allah, and sufficient is Allah as a Trustee (Disposer of Affairs),” (Al-Ahzab, 33:3).
we always seek love, happiness and our greatest desires but truth is are you really ready to receive this blessings? Mentally, physically, emotionally and spiritually Are you ready ? At your current state wouldn’t you fumble the blessings you pray for from Allah if it’s given to you now ? Are you sure you have what it takes to not destroy the blessings if given to you by Allah ? Wouldn’t you mishandle it? That’s where trusting Allah comes in because He knows, He really knows
Beloved Allah is Al-Hakeem he knows more than us, he is the only one who knows our past, present and future so wouldn’t you trust him knowing he knows what’s best for you.
Before anything we’re Muslims first and as Muslims we know what it means to put our trust in Allah Tawakkul (Arabic: تَوَكُّل) in the Arabic language, is the word for the Islamic concept of the reliance on God or "trusting in God's plan".
Beloved Whatever decision Allah takes for you might not ensure your happiness but it’ll definitely ensure your wellbeing
But then it gets overwhelming sometimes, your heart flips and gets so heavy, leaving you incapable of seeing beyond here and now because the deliberating Present is all that exists for you at that moment, beloved this isn’t an aspire to perspire letter, I wrote an entirely different article just yesternight and Here I am asking would you please pass the cup over my head ? It’s Ramadan and I am soliciting prayers for me, for the person who I am so worried about and for every Muslim who’s going through a lot right now, pray that Allah gives us all the ability to trust him, to have our full faith in him
“Ibn Qayyim al-Jawziyyah (may Allah have mercy on him) summarizes this very beautifully, in observing that there are three ways or levels to trust Allah. He says the first level of trust in Allah is the way that we would trust an agent (wakīl). When we trust an agent then the agent is still in service to us, we are not in service to the agent. We give the agent instructions and when the agent doesn’t do exactly what we tell him or her to do, we lose trust in that agent and we try to replace them. Allah isn’t going to be this type of wakīl for us, we have to move it up.
The second level of trust is the type that a child has for their mother. A child goes to their mother knowing that no one loves them more than her and no one offers them a greater sense of comfort; so even if she punishes the child and it cries and has a tantrum, it still goes back to its mother for comfort because the child trusts its mother’s love and knows she has their best interests at heart even when she punishes her child.
He explained the third level of trust in Allah as being like the trust a dead person being washed has on those washing him. That is an absolute state of trust in Allah,”complete trust that He will not move us in a direction out of hatred or one that is not in our best interest, complete trust that He will maintain our affairs, that He will see us through every difficulty and that every difficulty is meant for us to gain a further perspective and further closeness to Him on that path to His love.
So beloved which level Of trusting Allah are you currently at? again I don’t know how best to say this, but if you would have been better off at this stage of your life With the blessing you yearn and crave for then Allah would grant it to you for he loves you, but beloved he knows you more than you know yourself, No one loves you as much as Allah and he would never want to hurt you “just because” Trust Allah and include us all in your Dua’s.
I’d say a prayer at this point, May Allah grant you the sabr and tawakkul you need to go through life, may he be with you, by you and for you, may he grant you ease and solace, May he grant you understanding and patience, May all the wishes of your heart be in alignment with his plans for you, may you find what your hearts been wishing for
Sending you so much love, warmth and light ❤️
